Which search results are 'Organic'?
As already stated, organic search results come from search engine results pages through SEO, not just through ads. Currently, search engine result pages are called SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) and now organic results are much richer than advertising. Organic result features in SERP such as:
- Feature snippets,
- Answers Box,
- People Also Ask / Search Box / Suggestion,
- Image carousel,
- Video carousel,
- News etc.
New SERPs are bringing new features based on user searches.
For example: If you search 'Dhaka Weather' then you will see an image of Dhaka's climate forecast instead of a link. And if you search for 'Dhaka Pizza' you will find some local pizza places on Google Maps, some links and carousels just in Dhaka City.
One thing to keep in mind is that search engine revenue only comes from advertising. Their goal is to provide users with the right information so that users can come back to SERPs and stay longer.
Some of the features of SERPs are organic and can be influenced by SEO. SEO has no impact on ads. There are some features that can not affect either of the two in Organic Advertising. Search results from sites like Wikipedia, IMDB, WebMD, etc.
Why is SEO needed or important?
SEO practices and applications increase the quality and user of the website, as well as the branding of the company through the organic results of the search engine.
Although there are paid advertising, social media and other online platforms for generating traffic/users on the website. Yet most of the users come from the search engines on the website.
The search engine shows various digital features and reliable informative answers on its results page, which generates more clicks than paid advertising. For example, in the US only 2.5% of all clicks come from paid advertising.
SEO is the only online marketing channel, where properly set up work can generate revenue over time. If you can provide rich and user-friendly content on the site and it ranks the right keywords in the search engine. However, your site will consist of users coming from search engines. Spending a lot of money on paid advertising is not what you get.
Though search engines are smarter now, although it still needs your support to show the right search content. By optimizing, your site will give search engine information-rich and user-friendly content. So that the search engine can display the right content in the search engine result page by crawling, indexing and ranking the content of your site.
White Hat vs. Black Hat SEO
'White Hat SEO' refers to all the SEO techniques, best practices, and strategies that are followed by all search engine guidelines. Its main focus is mainly on users.
'Black hat SEO' refers to the tactics and strategies that try to fool the search engine by spamming. By which, within a short period of time, a website can be seen in a good ranking in search engines. But as a result, the search engine can be penalized or deindexed the site. Black Hat SEO does not follow any search engine guidelines.
With a penalty website, no online business can be successful. One of the reasons for getting a search engine penalty is SEO pros, making the mistake of choosing an agency and not following the search engine guidelines.
