Do you know windows can be run by a small Pendrive? but what can you do by running the whole windows with a small Pendrive? This will be the right question if you think about it. Windows is the most popular operating system among general users, so many people are using windows right now. but the question Is when you need the live windows?
To know the answer we need to know about Live windows!
Live windows are windows that can run without installing it on a hard disk or SSD, it will automatically run to the desktop and you can instantly able to use your computer and Laptop.
When you need the Live Windows?
- SSD or Harddisk error, Windows, or any other operating system cannot be run by that drive, but still, there are some important file you need to backup, then live windows can be a great tool for you to backup your all files from that drive if the file survives, also you can check your hard disk or SSD and can be able to manage that partition of the drive.
- Windows error, Windows not running properly or for some error, need to install the whole windows clearly, but still, in the C drive there are files you need to backup, then live windows can help you with that also.
- HDD or SSD Partition, If you want to create a partition or want to delete the partition on a non-system HDD or SSD, you can do that by live Windows system.
- Forgot the Windows logon Password/Pin, If you have forgotten your Windows log-on password and all the ways are clear, no way to logon that windows. You can backup the C drive file by a Live Windows disk.
Ok enough intro, let's get to the work, the process of making a live windows disk or Pendrive.
There are two methods of the Live windows system. Among them, the easy method is a small ISO file and make it bootable by a small application. So to do that you need some files and small software, and a way to do that.
First, you need to download the file. Please download the ISO file from the link below.
Sequential way to make a live windows Pendrive:
- You need a working computer.
- Download the main ISO file from the above link.
- Now Download the tool for creating the Pendrive. The name of the software is Rufus, you can download the latest version of Rufus from their website. Always prefer to download the software from the official website.
- Plug a Pendrive and make sure there are no important files left on that drive because before starting the process of making this pen drive bootable, the Pendrive will format to its required format style, such as NTFS or FAT32.
- If you already downloaded the ISO file then you are ready to go. First, you need to start the software to start the process, and on that software, there is an option called Select. This option is for selecting the ISO file. - After selecting the ISO file, click START then after some process the above screen appears, unplug Pendrive and connect it to your computer.
- Connect the Pendrive to your desire computer which has a problem or you want to boot without a hard disk, open the Boot Selection menu in BIOS and select your Pendrive on boot order. - Then after booting, windows you can backup and restore files using file manager and repartition hard disk or any other storage.
